Walmart is suppose to be offering a bargain laptop starting November 5th for only $398.  This is for a Compaq Presario V5305WM Laptop Computer.   Also from what I read there are only going to be 15 laptops per store and will be offered 1 per customer. 

Here are some of the specs for this Walmart laptop deal:

• 512MB 333MHz DDR (upgradable to 2GB)

• ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP (128MB)

• 60GB 5400RPM Hard-Drive

• 24X DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive

• 15.4? WXGA High-Definition BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800) Display

• Integrated 56k modem, 100mb Network Card and 54g 802.11b/g Wireless Connectivity

• 1 ExpressCard/54 Slot (Not PCMCIA)

• 6.4 lbs

Again, this is speculation but I source seems credible.  Just keep in eye out for it.  Looks like a nice deal for a back up laptop.  I wonder if they will be selling a cheap desktop computers?
