Subscriptions also make great gifts because they can be used throughout the year.  My favorite gift subscription has to be a Netflix.com online movie rental subscription.  Netflix allows you rent DVDs online and get them in the mail, there are no late fees and the selection of movies to choose from will please any hardcore movies watcher.  Netflix.com offers DVD rental subscriptions from 1 month to 1 year.  Their prices are very reasonable starting at only $71.88 for one full year.  You can buy gift subscription and send it by email or print it out immediately.

If you know anyone with one of those huge TVs and home theaters you know they would love this.  A big plus in getting this for someone or yourself is that you end up going out to the movies a lot less so it may actually pay for itself.  I hate to sound like a hermit but watching DVD movies at home can also save you a lot of money instead of going out (gas, food, drinks).  Bust out the microwave popcorn, movie night anyone?

Magazines Anyone?

Another great last minute gift is magazine subscriptions.  There are so many magazines to choose that you are bound to find one for just about anybody.  You can even get magazine subscriptions about health or business for anyone wanting to learn more or get motivated in that particular genre.  I highly recommend getting magazine subscriptions to young children.  While books are great, magazines really allow kids to develop their specific interests.
