The site is actually split into two segments: the store, where you can purchase bodybuilding supplements and equipment and a super site, which offers links to the store as well as informational articles, photo galleries and more. The side of the page breaks down the types of articles by audience – meaning teens have their own spot to find information as do women, professionals, amateurs, those looking for the next contest, etc.
What makes this site a good one, however, is the amount of information offered through a single portal. A body building novice who knows nothing about the industry can peruse this site and find everything they need know about the sport — from the history to current, key players to how to get involved and more. It is a very informational Web site and offers a ton of advice and encouragement for professionals and amateurs alike. What also makes it helpful is the fact that there are a number of exercises and workout plans offered on the site for those trying to improve their bodies for competition as well as stipulations for entering various bodybuilding contests.
The only drawback to the site is that there is a lack of photo galleries in what is a very image-conscious, image driven sport. There is a spot on the site devoted to video, however, one would hope to come across some extensive photo galleries of present and past body builders because let’s face it, it’s a lot easier to look at an image to strive for than imagine it though story description.
The community segment of the site is also a nice touch, allow fellow bodybuilders to share encouraging words or give advice to one another on what is or is not working in their particular regimen. This type of community almost always inspires a sense of camaraderie among athletes in a sport as closely-knit as body building is. This site is recommended for anyone interested in any aspect of the industry — whether you are curious or heavily integrated.
