"We have purchased a lot of these containers. We have found the large lid has cracked at the end locking flap. One small one broke when dropped. Both of these pieces it was the lid that broke on the end locking flap.
They changed the design so the lids are no longer interchangeable. So if you bought a set a year and a set today the same lid will not fit the container of a year ago. So you have to go through all of your lids to find the right one.
If one breaks you have to buy the whole piece now lid and container. They will not (Sharper Image) after the warranty is up on them sell you just the container or the lid if one breaks. Before the warranty is up they will send you a new replacement but they send a whole new one, lid and container and tell you to throw the other half of your set away. I find that to be a waste. This is our experience anyway with the product."
